
Department faculty, staff and graduate students that require computer support, please fill out a support request form and you'll be contacted by support personnel. To get to the form, click on the IT Help link at the top right of the page.
The Instructional Media Lab (IML) serves as a resource for graduate students, faculty and staff of the university for tasks like printing, computing and equipment checkout. With both Apple and PC platforms available, the IML can assist users with nearly any project. There are currently three PCs and two Macs available in the lab, with the following specifications:
- (3) PC Dell Optiplex 745 w/ Windows XP Pro SP2:There are two main types of printers at the IML: Document printers and plotters, which print the smallest documents to legal sizes, and larger posters, respectively:
Document Printers:
Dell 3110cn Printer: Color laser, documents of all sizes (letter, A4, legal, etc.)
Dell 5310n Printer: B&W laser, documents of all sizes (letter, A4, legal, etc)
Plotters:
HP Designjet 4500 Printer: capable to print 36in wide x up to 575ft long
HP Designjet 755CM Printer: capable to print 36in wide x up to 150 ft long
If one wishes to take their work elsewhere, there are a number of materials available to check out, using a reservation system located at the IML front desk. The following equipment is available for checkout:

- Canon ZR50 Digital Camcorder
- Digital Camera Canon Powershot A85
- Apple iBook G4 Laptop
- Dell Latitude 110L Laptop (2)
- Dell 3300MP Projector (1024x768)
- Dell 3400MP Projector (1024x768)
- Mac Spartan 02 software
- PC Spartan 04 software
In order to reserve any of the above materials, a reservation must be set up to determine when the equipment should be returned. These reservations are made in the IML and are protected by a password that only the user knows, in order to create, modify, or delete their reservation.
